BASSETERRE, St. Kitts- A local man is in police custody following his apprehension yesterday at the Basseterre Post Office parcel section.

According to reports reaching this media house, the man collected a parcel at the establishment and a search of an item inside the package revealed a quantity of US $100 bills.

SKNVibes.com contacted Police Public Relations head Inspector Cromwell Henry who confirmed that an individual had been “picked up” by police.

“Police responded to a report made at the Post Office whereby a packaged had been found to contain what appeared to be counterfeit money. We can confirm that the individual collected a package addressed to him and that package contained counterfeit notes at the time it was collected,” Henry said.

The Inspector withheld the individual’s name saying that the person had not yet been charged with the offence of “possession of counterfeit money”. ~~Adz:Right~~
