Rotary Club of Liamuiga Hosts biggest fundraiser – Old Year’s Ball at the Marriott

Rotary Club of Liamuiga Press Release

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS 26 DECEMBER, 2011 - The Rotary Club of Liamuiga is once again hosting its Old Year’s Ball at the St. Kitts Marriott.  Over the last three years, the event has turned out to be one of the Club’s main fund raisers that finances several of its community projects.

The event this year has an added attraction in the person of Singing Francine.  A veteran Trinidadian entertainer, she was invited to augment the already varied entertainment which includes the Fore Play Band and Threes Hi Fi.  Over the years, the Ball has been known to attract a wide cross section of patrons and has become a favourite of many returning nationals.

President Peter Jenkins commented, “We look forward to the support of the public each year at this ball.  It is their great support for this and other fund-raising events which allow us to successfully fulfill our social agenda in the communities.  We also look forward to the fraternal celebration with family and friends, returning nationals and residents as we welcome the New Year together,” he said.

A packaged deal which includes an open bar and finger foods along with musical entertainment, most patrons look forward to breakfast which is served at around 4am.  The event has also been known to have some fantastic door prizes including dinner and lunches at popular hotels and restaurants and electronic gadgets and appliances.

Tickets are available from members of the Club and will also be sold at the door during the night of the function.
