Treat your mother special for Mother’s Day!

Whether it is with a fruit basket, bouquet of flowers, lunch or a hairdo, treating your mother special and showing your appreciation will certainly touch her deeply in her heart.
As usual, several businesses have created special initiatives persons can take advantage of to treat their mothers.
The St. Kitts Marriott Resort has also organised special lunches for mother’s because, according to Public Relations Manager Lavern Stevens, everyone has a mother and to most persons she is the rock and the cornerstone of the family.
“After you take your mother to church, bring her over to the St. Kitts Marriott Resort where she can have lunch at La Cucina or Calypso Restaurant,” she said. “After lunch, take her downstairs to the Emerald Mist Spa for some well deserved pampering.”
The Royal St. Kitts Hotel is also offering a special event where things will begin with a scrumptious lunch of a wide variety of main courses, side dishes, salads, soups and deserts to choose from.
The lunch will be followed by the Reign of Elegance Modeling Agency’s fashion event. The models will entertain and entice everyone with over 200 hats of various colours and styles when they host their annual Hat Parade.
A pre-mother’s day fair of the year will be held on May 10 at the Newtown Playfield and will feature special activities for children with live performances by Dora, Sponge Bob, Pooh Bear and more.
The children can also win gift baskets for their mother by saying how special their mothers are at the event.
Ashburry’s sells the widest range of perfumes and colognes on the island and they are in direct contact with companies such as Chanel and Esta Luade; so they are offering their customers top of the line products.
Leon Bloch of Ashburry’s told SKNVibes that they have a special where one who makes a purchase of over US$100 would receive a special gift in celebration of Mother’s Day.
“The gift will either be a bag or watch and also if you purchase from our store three times out of the month you will also receive a special gift,” he said. “
Toya Lake of Trendy Hair Designs strongly believes that all mother’s should be pampered for their special day and that’s why her salon is offering several specials for pedicures, manicures, relaxers and wash and sets.
The salon, which is situated on Fort Street in the City Plaza building, will also be offering special Mother’s Day Gift Certificates.
“I’m a mother as well, and we want the mothers to feel special and look special for their day. After they get their hair dos and manicures and pedicures done they will know exactly what their loved ones wanted to say apart from the many I love yous,” she said.
After the pampering and gifts and dining you can treat your mother with a fun night out at the over-30 dance, which will be held at the Tennis Club on Victoria Road where the entrance fee for mothers will at half price.
