BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, January 13th, 2012 (SKNIS) -- Students and the General Public have an opportunity to put their creative skills into action in the design of Commemorative Stamps marking the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Mr. Raphael Archibald, sub-committee chairman for the Commemorative Stamps, says the competition is open to members of the general public, students from primary and secondary schools, as well as tertiary level institutions, indicating that designs should depict the gains or achievements of Saint Kitts and Nevis, in any area of endeavor, during the 60 years of Her Majesty’s service as head of the Commonwealth of Nations.
The chairman indicated that attractive prizes would be awarded in various age categories. The rules and information on the stamp design competition can be obtained at the front desk, Government Headquarters, on Church Street.
The deadline for the submission of entries is Monday, February 13, sent or delivered to the St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service (SKNIS) at Government Headquarters, Basseterre.
