CHARLESTOWN, Nevis - Brown Hill Communications Ltd., a locally operated subsidiary of a large North American telecommunications company will employ 100 locals by December 2008.

Local Site Manager, Tessa Howell made the announcement yesterday at a career fair held at the Nevis Cultural Centre yesterday when the company along with scores of others exhibited their products and services. The event was organised by the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) Human Resources Department.

Howell said the company requires, with immediate effect, 20 full-time customer agents and five frontline management personnel ensuring that government policy would be adhered to by sourcing the frontline management personnel locally.

Nevis Premier Joseph Parry, during his most recent parliamentary address, had told Nevisians that a leading international telecommunications company would set up shop in Nevis.  ~~Adz:Right~~

Howell referenced this saying that the promise “was now a reality”. She added that experts from the parent company would train the locally recruited staff.
