Conaree resident is Federation’s 9th murder victim

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE twin-island Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis recorded its ninth murder for the year with last night’s [May 19] shooting-death of a young man in Conaree Village.
Dead is 25-year-old Chesil ‘Killis’ Richardson of Conaree Village, who, according to unconfirmed reports, was shot approximately 12 times to the body shortly after 9 o’clock last night.
Details of the shooting incident are still sketchy but SKNVibes understands that Richardson was reportedly sitting on a bench outside his home when he was shot. On arrival at the scene, police found Richardson’s body prostrated on the bench and the District Medical Officer shortly thereafter pronounced him dead.
One Conaree resident expressed shock over the incident, as just moments before they were in the said area speaking with the victim.

That incident reportedly took place at 3:00 a.m. and the police informed that investigations “led police to the J. N. F. Hospital where they saw and spoke to Richardson who had a bandage on the back of his neck and another on the right shoulder”.
Subsequent investigations revealed that Richardson was shot while he was at the home of a Buckley’s resident.
SKNVibes understands that one person was in custody assisting with the investigation, but no further word was given on whether that person was charged or released.
