BASSETERRE St. Kitts, February 2nd, 2012 -- Two Student Ambassadors from The University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus will be visiting the Federation representing the UWI Vice Chancellor’s Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow programme (UWI STAT) from February 7 – 10, 2012.
The aim of the visit is to fulfill UWI STAT’s mission of contributing to youth leadership development, regional interaction and integration and the promotion of The UWI as the best choice for tertiary education in the Caribbean. These student leaders act as Professor E. Nigel Harris’ Ambassadors and provide feedback to him from the regional youth perspective.
Jonathan Morgan and Rashad Brathwaite, Law Students at the Cave Hill Campus, are the two UWI STAT Ambassadors selected to visit St. Kitts & Nevis. During their visit they will participate in the UWI Open Campus Open Day, pay their respects to several Government officials, meet with UWI alumni and visit Nevis. While in the Federation the Ambassadors will take every opportunity to motivate students to strive for academic excellence and to give back to their communities.
