Mutinous police take over Maldivian TV: witness

(Malé, MDV) - A group of policemen staging a mutiny in the Maldives have taken over the state television broadcasting station and linked it to an opposition network, local reporters witnessed.

"Police outside the station told us that they have taken over," a reporter working for a local newspaper told AFP, asking not to be named.
