ROADTOWN Tortola BVI, February 8th, 2012  –  Government is pleased to announce that ferry services will now be provided to and from Anegada for six days per week beginning next Tuesday, February 14, for the duration of the tourist season.

According to Premier and Minister for Tourism Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE, residents and visitors will have greater, continuous and affordable access between Road Town, Tortola and Setting Point, Anegada.

Yesterday, Premier Smith signed the contract with Smith’s Ferry Services to provide the additional three days of service.

This initiative will be provided to residents and visitors at a fee as has always been the case and now includes Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. At the moment ferry service is being provided three days each week.

The additional service is intended to further stimulate the economy of this sister island.
