El Fredos hit the spot on the weekend!
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, February 15th, 2012 – There seems to be no slowing down of the Digi Train in 2012. After a successful Road Show in Queen City, Nevis on February 4th, the Digicel Team journeyed to El Fredos Restaurant & Bar on the Bay Road in St. Kitts this past weekend to join WINN FM on their outside broadcast of “Caribbean Pepperpot”. From 2pm-6pm, everyone present was entertained by radio personalities Trent ‘Daddy T’ Sargeant and Carlton Dupont.
As expected on all of Digicel’s Road Shows, discounted handsets were available for purchase and Digicel customers received complimentary credit and tons of giveaways. The Coral 185 handset, equipped with an FM Radio and flashlight was available for purchase at a Valentine price of only $50. With each purchase, new and existing Digicel customers received a complimentary sim card and their choice of Digicel merchandise. Some customers who were listening to WINN FM left their homes to ensure that they did not miss out on the deal.
The large crowd which gathered at El Fredos was later in the day treated to the sweet rhythms of Digicel-endorsed, Shakki Starfire, winner of the 2011 Groovy Soca Monarch Competition. In her usual style, Shakki thrilled the audience with her dancing moves, even inviting one of her fans to perform with her.
Throughout the evening, Daddy T and Carlton Dupont kept the crowd lively with their selections of calypso and soca music. “Digicel’s Road Shows are always entertaining; it doesn’t matter whether we’re driving around the island or at a specific location like today,” said Marsha Chatterjee, Digicel St. Kitts and Nevis’ Marketing Manager. “Last year, we had a similar partnership with WINN FM and are glad to have been invited to another community affair,” she continued.
Digicel promised its customers to make 2012 a bigger and better year, and is so far living up to that promise. To win $500 every Friday, customers are encouraged to speak on any call for 3 minutes or more or pay their bill in full and on time. For your chance at free groceries in Digicel’s Supermarket Sweep, prepaid customers must top up $15 or more and collect letters to spell GROCERY and postpaid customer should pay their bill in full and on time.
