Driver questioned in Sandy Point accident

~~Adz:Left~~BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS - The driver of the vehicle involved in Monday’s traffic accident that sent a Traffic Warden to the hospital has been “questioned and released” police officials say.
Bishen Daniel of St. Pauls had been driving motorcar PA 6471 on the morning of May 26th when he struck Claudette Francis of Old Road around 8:20 a.m. at the pedestrian crossing near Ground Gate, Sandy Point on the Island Main Road.
Francis is the Traffic Warden assigned to the Sandy Point Primary School and was conducting her normal duties when the accident occurred.
Daniel, who resides on Downing Street in Sandy Point, was subsequently taken to the Sandy Point Police Station for questioning and Francis to the Pogson Hospital for treatment of injuries to her hip and shoulder.
She was then transferred to Joseph N. France Hospital, where she was also questioned by a police investigator.
Reports reaching this media house indicate that Francis was released from the JNF Hospital following treatment of her injuries.
Police officials indicate that investigations into the incident are ongoing and no charges have been laid at this time.
