Elvarene Browne wins Digicel ‘Vroom Vroom’ Promotion!!

Basseterre, St. Kitts - ELVARENE Browne proved that luck was indeed a lady when she drove away a brand new, fully-loaded 2008 Toyota Corolla after winning the Digicel ‘Vroom Vroom’ Promotion yesterday May 27th.
Browne was one of ten finalists chosen randomly from thousands of Digicel customers who participated in the promotion by texting “CAR” to 5566.
The momentous occasion unfolded on Central Street, down-town Basseterre at 5p.m. in front of curious onlookers and the finalists’ friends, family and supporters.

and that since the finalists were picked at random, it had not mattered whether persons had sent one text or a hundred texts since the promotion began.
The ten finalists picked numbers from a glass bowl and were each given a key labelled with the corresponding number; then in chronological order they tried their key in the car’s ignition.
Number seven proved to be lucky indeed when Browne turned key #7 in the ignition and the car roared to life.
The McKnight resident immediately jumped out of the car and was greeted by hugs and cheers from friends and family in the crowd as the KC5 band struck up. Browne and her well-wishers started jumping, waving and rejoicing. SKNVibes.com later found out that ironically Browne’s vehicle was

experiencing mechanical difficulties, making the win even more opportune.
Greg Gilpin-Payne, Digicel St. Kitts Country Manager said that he felt Browne was one customer who definitely deserved to win the car because by sheer coincidence, she was one of the person who had texted in the most times during the promotion.
Browne said she felt that she would win because it was her “birth-month” and that it is normally a lucky time for her. She also sang the praises of her mobile service provider saying, “I am pleased to be a part of the Digicel Bigger, Better Network! It is the phrase that pays!” ~~Adz:Right~~
