BASSETERRE St. Kitts, February 21st 2012 - It is said that the Aquarian is friendly, humanitarian, intelligent, intuitive and independent, original and inventive. Onida Tyrell, having been born on 28 January 1997, only 15 years ago, immediately identifies with those descriptions. She is one of the bright, young sparks being nurtured at 4G1 of the Basseterre High School.
Onida has always been an outstanding personality at home, school, church and play and now hopes to share herself with you when she competes in this year’s Miss Basseterre High School Pageant. Growing up in a vibrant and loving extended family, Onida has learnt to make the best of every opportunity and has set her hopes high at becoming a Pediatrician one day. Onidais not only working academically toward her future goals, but she also has her sights set on becoming a well-rounded individual.
Onida has been expressing herself through Dance since she first set foot on stage with the Youth Outreach Dance Ministry, her own church’s Dance Ministry and most recently with the up and coming Star-maker LEAP, the Learning & Empowermentthrough the Arts Program. She also enjoys reading a good old paper back novel and surfing the internet in her spare time. Her personal motto, “Never give up – Rise above the Ordinary!” together with her belief in God, strong support from her family and her own ambitions has caused Onida to be poised for success in all her dreams.
As with everything else, Onida expects to put her best foot forward on Friday 30 March 2012 not only to entertain you, but to inspire, challenge and encourage all, especially her focus, the Youth at Risk. Come out and support the contestants of this year’s 2012- 2013 Miss Basseterre High School Pageant.
