Man arrested for drug possession

~~Adz:Left~~BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - AKIDA EDDIE will soon appear before a court of law to answer a charge of “possession of cannabis” that was brought against him following an operation conducted by members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force.
A police press release informs that on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 the officers “conducted stop and search operations in the Basseterre, Monkey Hill, Conaree and Buckley’s areas…and several individuals were stopped and searched for illegal drugs, arms and ammunition”.
Eddie, the release continued, was found in possession of a “quantity of marijuana” which resulted in the charge preferred against him.
During the operation, “a total of 300 marijuana seedlings were also found growing in an area close to Shadwell Housing and was uprooted and taken into custody”. However, no one was held responsible for the find.
Investigations are ongoing.
