BASSETERRE St.Kitts, February 24th 2012 - Respectful, considerate and caring are words that epotomiseMs Life Skills, Cariela Liburd, contestant #5. Currently she pursues ten (10) subjects in which History and Biology she delights.
This multifaceted teen engages in dancing, singing, playing the piano and writing poetry. Additionally, she is a current member of the Girls Brigade and the Swanston’s House of Music where she hones her passion for the arts and her love of human kind.
Cariela adopts as her personal motto, a quote from the late Dr. Martin Lurther King jr. who pens ‘If you can’t fly, then run; if you can’t run, then walk; if you can’t walk, then crawl; but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.
Cariela believes that education is the key that opens the door to success, as it is through this medium one can achieve economic stability. Notwithstanding, she encourages her peers to engage in positive activities that nurture both the spiritual and moral self, thus creating a balanced individual.
