Local Playwright to present ‘After The Wedding’

By: Cherisse M. Sutton-Jeffers, SKNVibes

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – PLAYWRIGHT Moses Byron is at it again with another drama presentation titled ‘After The Wedding’. The play will be showcased on Friday, March 2 and Sunday March, 4 from 8:00 p.m. at the Old Boys School.

Speaking with Byron, he told SKNVibes that the play deals mainly with marital issues.

“It tells people what to look for before and after getting married. It also speaks about honesty and trust,” he noted.

He further stated that it is a production for everybody, especially those planning on getting married, for it lets people know what to look for instead of just rushing into that union because they may think they are in love.

The script consists of eight characters, five of whom are new, and stars Rae-Dawn Thomas and Delvin Francis.

Byron, who has written plays such as ‘The Governor’s Son’, ‘Married Man Money Sweet’ and ‘The Cry’, indicated that he is working on getting ‘After The Wedding’ available on DVD but at a later date.

He is also working on the upcoming Finco Primary School Drama Festival to be held in May.

In November 2011, Byron had travelled to Anguilla where he showed his first movie ‘Hurry Dog Eat Raw Corn’ and received high praise for the production.
