The SIDF is causing serious concerns and raising eyebrows both LOCALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY.
It is a very secretive organization though certainly not in the category of the secret read about in HARDY BOYS. It is more in the category of the ILUMINATI, LODGES, THE LAWRENCE COMPANY that Kittitians whisper about. Yet there is no whispering about the SIDF. Indeed Dr. Douglas’ response to questions about the SIDF is as if he pledged NEVER to reveal any of its activities – THE KIND OF OATH THE ABOVE SOCIETIES DEMAND.
SIDF is thus more an ACRONYM for SECRETIVE INTENTIONS and DEALS FOUNDATION. The people have not recovered from the CONTEC-BEACON HEIGHTS Scandal but are hit by yet another. Dr. Douglas has tried to make a villain of Eugene Hamilton but under his watch and approval the SIDF has been set up and operated by his friends and Cabal members as his overseas friends ran BAICO and CLICO.
Mr. Eugene Hamilton, the Opposition Leader, concerned citizens and Labour stalwarts have all joined the cry to get an explanation of the accounts and activities of the SIDF. Dr. Douglas and the Speaker have been trying to suppress the questioning in Parliament. Further, the SIDF is another of the reasons why a camel will pass through the eye of an actual sewing needle before Dr. Douglas passes FREEDOM OF INFORMATION LEGISLATION.
REUTERS have produced a story on the SIDF, not because it is a TEA PARTY-TYPE STORY BUT MORE OF A RUMSHOP SCANDAL. Many in the public bought into the illusion that the SIDF was designed to promote the welfare of former sugar workers and their families. They forget the plight and RIP OFF of the sugar workers on the closure of the industry they were told would not close.
Dr. Douglas and Labour with the cooperation of the Labour Union told the people that forty-four (44) million dollars were for the sugar workers. Former sugar workers got 28 million, 16 million NEVER accounted for! The people heard that 8.5 million went in the direction of the Bahamas disappearing in the nearby BERMUDA TRIANGLE.
A number of people including Chief Secretary Edmeade have been given as principals on the SIDF and Kittitian Hill Board. Other names given are MORTON-ANTHONY, CROSSMAN, BENJAMIN, MARTIN. Interestingly, among the people mentioned is the LOCAL WELLS-FARGO agent who took the 8.5 million to the Bahamas. Now, this raises suspicion and smells. How much of SIDF money has this agent taken? E.g., ESTONIA, LECHENSTIEN, more successfully learning from the Bahamas experience?
No one heard of any discussion on the design and coming of the SIDF. It came in the name of SUGAR WORKERS but there is no one from Labour Union, SSMC, TRANSITION TEAM (now abolished) and no representation from or for ordinary estate workers.
Dr. Douglas has told the people that he has no control over the SIDF, cannot force their principals to hand over the books and figures to parliament or the public. Immediately the SIDF and LEX CONSULTING LLC appear too much alike. One thing though SIDF deals in money, passports and citizenship. No one knows what LEX CONSULTING DOES. However, one wonders if in an attempt to do clean up LEX might be linking with SIDF. Reuters estimates that SIDF has dealt with about 1500 cases to the tune of some 200 million US dollars. Last count had LEX dealing in near 100 million US dollars. Big monies! Big mysteries! In total LEX AND SIDF could be near 300 million US dollars. As with LEX, which up to the last reports was operated by the prime minister’s “baby mother”, who was at the state’s mission in New York, Dr. Douglas is claiming to have NO INFLUENCE OVER THE SIDF.
Dr. Douglas told the people that the $95,000.00 dollar check from LEX was for LITTLE DENZIL, who was NOT WORKING, AT SCHOOL, NOT YET A DOCTOR. Subsequently BIG DENZIL admitted that it was his check, him Dr. and PM, long-graduated from university. LEX CONSULTANCY might now have an operation or partner in the Sands Complex.
How can the SIDF that is handling millions of dollars that relate to PASSPORTS AND CITIZENSHIP be out of government control? If so, then it is the express design of Dr. Douglas Cabal members and cronies. But, the people at the SIDF are paid from the state’s coffers and some have been there via official government transfers.
The SIDF had to come into being by some instrument of Legislation and if not, it is an illegal entity. Or, maybe the instrument was written in the SHIFTING SANDS. THE SIDF as presented by Dr. Douglas seems to be a product of EVOLUTION – just coming out of nowhere, putting itself together and doing its own thing. It must not be forgotten that Dr. Douglas told the nation that one morning the whole government awoke to find that LaVallee was sold.
There are many questions to be answered. We are told that the government has at least 80% of the shares in Kittitian Hill. Some time ago about 80 million dollars were pumped from the SIDF into the Hill when it fell flat. How did this money get to the Kittitian Hill? Dr. Douglas told the people that SIDF money was subsidizing cooking gas. Again how did this money make its way to the flame under the pot? Dr. Douglas is saying that he has important information about the SIDF but yet he has no control over the SIDF. One overseas individual with solid connections to Kittitian Hill has commented that the SIDF is operated by PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN. Ooooo….h! Satan is raising questions about the quality of sinners entering Hell!
The SIDF operation has all the bearings of another scandal, adding to Labour’s record of corruption. This has to be added to the CHRISTENA DISASTER FUND, THE UNION MONEY, SS MONEY, NHC MONEY, SUGAR WORKERS MONEY, HYDROFOIL MONEY, etc, etc. As to the HYDROFOIL money Labour accused PAM of a scandal and corruption but has now taken it over. Dr. Douglas said the four (4) million US dollars were paid for the boats by Labour but there are no figures to show, i.e., the figure is NOT ON THE BOOKS.
As to absence of money from the books and consolidated funds SIDF money is presented neither to the Auditor General or the Treasury. Under Dr. Douglas as Prime Minister and Finance Minister there exists a system of parallel accounting of government money OUTSIDE the purview of government, out of the eyes of the state.
Dr. Douglas is presiding over an operation by the SIDF principals tantamount to how AL CAPONE ran his Chicago mafia business. Like Capone’s books, based on what Dr. Douglas said, SIDF books are OFF THE BOOKS. The Labour government is a rogue government. SIDF money apparently is not to be seen by international organisations, e.g., IMF and WORLD BANK. Neither by the ECCB NOR THE CARIBBEAN DEVELOPMENT BANK. DRAKE, CORTEZ, PIZZARRO were more accountable to their monarchs so Dr. Douglas and Labour are taking us back to the DARK AGES. This has the potential to damage St. Kitts’ image in the world.
Our new colonial bosses, i.e., the IMF is on to the SIDF and has ORDERED Dr. Douglas to open up the books of the SIDF. Dr. Douglas would tell parliament and the people that he cannot force the SIDF operators to be TRANSPARENT IN THEIR OPERATIONS. Let him tell that to the IMF overlords.
St. Kitts owes billions, is defaulting on debts and bonds while SIDF has near 2 billion dollars. This reminds of 2008 WALL STREET when companies were bankrupt but people in the same companies had billions. While all this money is held by special people in the SIDF Dr. Douglas is announcing the sale of 1200 acres to pay the national debt. This is highly unacceptable! Also people are dying of cancer and kidney failure because treatment is beyond their means. Dr. Douglas and the Labour government must take the blame for this because there is enough money in the SIDF to initiate a Universal Health Insurance Scheme.
It cannot be missed that SIDF is coming under the name of SUGAR WORKERS. When would the exploitation of the poor masses by Labour cease? Who is GUARDING DE GUARD and looking out for the poor? Since Dr. Douglas cannot demand that the special people in the SIDF open their books to parliament or the public then they are their own GUARDS.
National Bank, ECCB, TDC and many entities present an annual report to the public but according to Dr. Douglas there cannot be, there will never be such a report to the people. The SIDF is more secretive than the OPUS Dei. Apart from the number of passports sold and the money made Kittitians need to know WHO are their ADOPTED BROTHERS AND SISTERS.
Dr. Douglas once called his homeland DEVILS’ ISLAND. Under his watch Basseterre has become the capital of Scandal. There is a need for an investigation to satisfy the people that SIDF is not SCANDALS, ILLEGALITIES, DEALS and FRAUD.
