ST.JOHN'S Antigua, February 24th, 2012 -- As part of the Clare Hall Secondary School Week of Activities celebrating the school's 40th anniversary, a community outreach day was slated.
The students and members of staff were encouraged to contribute toiletries to be distributed to the different institutions in and around the community. One student, Thea Matthew, felt that the Clarevue Psychiatric Hospital should be the main recipient of such donations.
On Wednesday Thea, along with her peers, Trina Clarke, Shannon Hunte and De-Ina Benjamin proudly represented their Alma Mater as they presented these toiletries to the Administrator of the institution, Mr Clarence E. Pilgrim.
The students were accompanied by Mrs Sherilyn Martin and Mrs Debbie Davis, two of the members of the committee that was formed to plan and execute the various events for the school's 40th anniversary.
During the brief ceremony a commitment was made by both students and staff that this will be a regular feature in the school's Calender of Events.
Mr Pilgrim welcomed and commended the initiative undertaken by the student’s of the Clare Hall Secondary School, and urged them to continue with their community projects.
