BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE have issued a wanted bulletin for a male Sandy Point resident in connection with a number of burglaries.

According to Police Press and Public Relations Officer Sergeant Stephen Hector, the wanted man is Jermaine Browne, whose residence was given as Mount Idle in Sandy Point.

Hector said a warrant in the first instance is in existence for Browne’s arrest and “persons who come into contact with the accused are asked contact the nearest police station and not to make personal contact as he is considered armed and dangerous”.

This is not the first time Browne has caught the attention of the law enforcement body.

According to a police press release, on March 26, 2007, he was charged with wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, committed against a male adult in Frigate Bay on March 23, 2007.

After being incarcerated for almost three years, the Sandy Pointer, on May 21, 2011, was acquitted of an armed robbery charge.

It was alleged that he, on June 21, 2008, wearing a mask and armed with a firearm, held up a delivery van of Annie Jones’ Bakery and robbed Justin Joseph and Leon Douglas, employees of the business, of EC$240.
