~~Adz:Left~~BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - INFORMATION reaching SKNVibes states that Terrance Hendrickson, the virtual complainant (VC) in the case of wounding with intent that was brought against Jonelle ‘J2’ Merritt, was not charged as ordered by the court.

On Wednesday last, at the beginning of the trial, Hendrickson was the first to take the stand and refused to give evidence after taking the oath.

He informed the court that he wanted nothing further to become of the case and noted that he had indicated his position at the preliminary inquiry. His Lordship Francis Belle asked the VC to state his reason(s) for not wanting to advance the case, but he refused to give an explanation.

Justice Belle ordered that Hendrickson be removed from the courtroom, arrested and charged with “Obstruction of justice”.

He was removed from the courtroom, and SKNVibes understands that he was not charged but released from Police custody on Saturday, May 31, 2008. SKNVibes was not informed of Hendrickson’s release until yesterday.

This media house subsequently contacted the Police Press and Public Relations Office, Inspector Cromwell Henry, who confirmed that he was discharged “pending further investigations”.

SKNVibes apologises for any embarrassment and/or inconvenience caused to Terrance Hendrickson.
