Press Release

BASSETERRE St. Kitts, March 12th, 2012  --  Ms.Jascur Hobson, known by several acquaintances as Babby from Newtown, is daughter to Jasmaine Matthew and Curtis Hobson. She is known by the federation and regionally for her talent of singer/song writer and being a member of the duet group Dymanyzd.

Jascur was born on February 2nd 1992, she carries the air of her zodiac sign, Aquarius, as she is a very in depth thinker, seeker of knowledge, open minded, charismatically rational and is gifted with the breath of vision. To add to this, she is a true historian and a nurturing people person.

Her primary education began at St.Joseph’s Roman Catholic School, which subsequently followed her enrolment at the Washington Archibald High School. She then made the decision to experience life on another island where she continued and completed her secondary education at Clare Hall Secondary School Antigua.

During her attendance, Jascur diligently showed her keenness of responsibility and genuine attributes, thus, was made one of the prefects/ambassador of the school in only one year. Upon her official departure of the institution she received the award which deemed her Clare Hall Secondary 2009 Business Student of the year, along with six Caribbean Examination Council subjects. She then went on to attend the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College where her studies were based on Literatures, History and Law.

Through her studies of Literature she adopted the quote “nothing comes from nothing”, a quote derived from Shakespeare’s “King Lear”. Jascur applies this by engaging in positive opportunities that betters herself and her peers, as she knows she is a mechanism of influence for persons around her.

No foreigner to the stage or the world of pageantry, Jascur has entered the 2007 Washington Archibald High School pageant and the 2010 Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College’s, History Club, Miss Back To Roots, where in both pageants she displayed high levels of confidence and incontestable  talent causing her to capture the first runner up spot in both events.

It is her future goal to become a professional singer/song writer, Jascur believes that music is the complete existence of life, she explains, “That for every occurrence in life there is a song that one can relate to.”

As a grand achiever, driven by hard work, determination and honesty, her future goals are set and even with what delay they pursue or encounter, they will not cease to exceed her grasp.
