    ROSS School of Nursing student attacked
    Four juveniles charged with sexual offences

    ~~Adz:Left~~BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - WHAT was expected to be just a cool stroll from the supermarket to her home, ended up as an attack and physical assault on a student of the Ross International School of Nursing.

     

    According to a Police press release, while walking along a dirt road aback the Eastern Benevolent Society Funeral Home at about 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, the student was attacked and beaten by two men.

     

    The men robbed the student of her cellular phone and attempted to take off her clothes, but she resisted, escaped and ran to the island’s main road where an off-duty Police Officer went to her assistance.

     

    The release informs that the officer took the student to the Joseph N France General Hospital, where she was treated and subsequently discharged. The incident was reported by the said officers and “investigators visited the student at the hospital and later visited the scene”.

     

    Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

     

    Meanwhile, four juveniles were arrested and will soon be appearing in court to answer charges of sexual offences.

     

    Police reported that three of the four juveniles were charged with unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl under 16 years, and the other one was charged for indecently assaulting the same girl.

     

    The offences were allegedly committed in the Sandy Point area on June 3, 2008.
