Rustum Southwell to get Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, March 12th, 2012 (CUOPM) – A national of St. Kitts and Nevis residing in Canada is to get the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
     
    Kittitian Mr. Rustum Southwell, son of the late St. Kitts and Nevis National Hero, the Right Excellent Sir C.A. Paul Southwell and Lady Southwell, will receive the medal during a Presentation Ceremony at Government House in Halifax, Nova Scotia on March 22nd 2012.
     
    Nova Scotia’s Lt. Governor, Her Excellency Mayann Francis informed Mr. Southwell that the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal is in recognition for his “contributions to Canada and Nova Scotia.”
     
    Mr. Southwell is also be given an honourary Diploma, from the Nova Scotia Community College in Halifax Nova Scotia in June.
     
    The presentation is to be made at a Convocation at the College.
