BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A Sandy Point resident narrowly escaped injuries last night when the car he was driving overturned in the Cleverly Hill area.

According to Constable Williams of the Police Public Relations Department, it was reported that at about 8:45 p.m. a vehicle [P2704] driven by Stephen Wilkin of Romney Ground, Sandy Point had overturned in the vicinity of Cleverly Hill.

Williams said the car was travelling along the island main road towards Sandy Point when one of its tyres blew out. He noted that the vehicle crashed into the sidewalk, which caused it to travel for some distance up the hillside before overturning.

He said the car, owned by Jevon Wilkin, was extensively damaged but the driver was unharmed.

The Police are urging motorists to drive carefully and to observe the traffic laws. ~~Adz:Right~~
