New Jersey NJ, March 27th, 2012   --  Rising New Jersey based reggae singer Christopher Wallace, aka Dr. Love - a cousin of late the Brooklyn born, Jamaican rapper, Notorious BIG - will join award winning reggae crooner Richie Stephens and Natural Black as headline performers at the fifth annual Caribbean New Jersey Reggae Awards (formerly the NJ Reggae Awards) which takes place on April 14, 2012 at the Prince Hall, 180-88 Irvine Turner Blvd. in Newark New Jersey.

Love, who has in the past sheared stage with international hit makers Fabulous, Rick Ross, Buju Banton, Beenie Man, Warrior King, Tony Rebel, Ninja Man and Ray Goodman & Brown, is promising fireworks inside the Prince Hall when he romps on stage.

"It is a privilege to be included in this year’s powerful NJ Awards lineup" Dr Love said in a recent radio interview in South Florida.

"This is one the biggest platforms in the state for reggae artistes so I plan to bring my A game and give fans a special treat" he reiterated.

Love, who honed his craft as a singer in church, is a seasoned performer who has built a reputation as a versatile lovers-rock singer /songwriter in the New York Tri-State area.

He is again nominated in the "Singer of the Year" category, which he won two consecutive years. He credits Alton Ellis, Ken Boothe, Kenny Rogers, Willy Nelson, Percy Sledge and Ray Charles as among his musical influences.

His raspy voice and rhythmic lyrical style are causing heads to turn stateside and in Jamaica with new releases "What's Wrong" and the gospel inspired "Now I Am Strong" that is heavily requested on Irie FM in Jamaica.

Both tracks were voted "Big Songs" on Roots FM's 'What's the Verdict" program recently. Other releases include the rootsy mid-tempo "I Know” featuring Ras Emmanuel; "Kiss Me Good Morning;" "Too Much Guns in The Streets” and "Can't Stop Me From Loving You" that demonstrates his lyrical versatility.

When asked about the type of music he sings, Dr Love said "I make positive music that appeals to people of all ages because music is medicine for the heart."
