    Police recover hi-jacked car

    ~~Adz:Left~~BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE confirmed today that the stolen vehicle, suspected to have been the one from within which Devon Millard of Upper Cayon and Tashi Govia of Hermitage, Cayon were shot, was recovered.

     

    A member of the Police Public Relations Department this morning told SKNVibes the metallic blue 1993 Nissan Station Wagon [PA3372] that was reportedly taken from a young couple by a masked gunman in the Brighton Estate area on Sunday morning,Sometime after 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 15, a young couple, while within the Station Wagon in the Brighton Estate area, was approached by a lone masked gunman who ordered them to disembark, relieve them of their cellular phones and made off with the vehicle.
     
    SKNVibes understands that shortly after the couple was robbed, two men sustained gunshot injuries after an individual(s) drove by in the stolen vehicle and fired at them.

     

    The incident took place in the vicinity of Henry’s Night Spot, Cayon and left Millard with gunshot wounds to his hands and Govia with a gunshot wound to his foot.

     

    The two men were taken to the Joseph N. France General for treatment, and while Millard was admitted and listed in a stable condition, Govia has since been discharged.

     

    According to Police Press and Public Relations Officer, Inspector Cromwell Henry, the vehicle is still in Police custody as investigations into both incidents are ongoing.

     

    He has also reiterated the call for anyone with information concerning the shooting or robbery to contact any Police Station or the Criminal Investigation Department at 465-2241 ext. 220, 230 or 236. Any information received by the Police would be treated with the strictest confidence.
