SANDY POINT, St. Kitts and Nevis (April 05, 2012): The Sandy Point festival unravels another explosive week of unlimited revelry, entertainment and fun for everyone. Organizers have promised a fusion of bashes and parties, with a spectacular slate of events, expected to draw thousands to the north-western town.
This weeks exciting calendar, boasts events from jaw dropping swimsuit pageants to open-air debates and from family outings to jouvert fetes: a mix that is said to have a bit of something for everyone! This comes as no surprise, as the festival continues to generate unique surprises!
Saturday’s (April 7) event is one for the entire community as it’s the 2nd Annual TDC Family Affair Carnival at the Old Sandy Point Recreation Grounds! This is Black San’s treat to families and will pull together a large number of traditional and unique games in one place for all to enjoy. Patrons can expect tents of games, food-eating competitions and even fortune-telling! And, if a mud pit with mud games doesn't immediately excite you, you can try your luck with slippery balloons, a donkey race or the water-dunk tank! You have to be there to experience it all!
Highlights of last years festival will be infused with added twists that guarantee to create overwhelming impressions such as the LIME Ms. Black San swim suit competition on Sunday 8th April, in which contestants will compete in what promises to be jaw dropping segments.
The five lovely ladies will vie for the title of LIME Ms. BLACK SAN’, and an opportunity to represent the festival at this year’s Ms. Venus Swimsuit pageant to be staged in Anguilla during the month of June. Last years event was memorable and the pageant coordinators promises that this year’s event will not be a disappointment! Show time is at 7:00pm and the first 150 persons will be presented with a free calling card complements Tripple 8. All this and much more for just EC$20.
The fun doesn't yet end! For the street revelers who never get bored of carnival carefree celebration, BLACK SAN j'ouvert jam is what's happening! Sign up Now for the Bil Ah Vybz pre-jouvert fete and jam down the streets of Sandy Point in festive abandon to the sounds of ‘the sweetest band in the world’ Small AXE BAND!!
