Those were the words of Assistant Director of Public Relations, Research and Statistics for the St. Kitts and Nevis Social Security Board Elvin Bailey at a handing over ceremony earlier today.

The ceremony, held at the Alexandra Hospital, marked the donation of a Dell computer from the Social Security Board to the hospital’s Pharmacy Department.

Also present at the ceremony were Assistant Director of the Social Security Board Branch Office Vernel Powell, Social Security’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) Walter Morton, Hospital Administrator Veta Morton, Chief of staff at the hospital Dr. Cardell Rawlins and the hospital’s Pharmacist Loston Nisbett.

Dr. Rawlins accepted the donation on behalf of the hospital and recorded his gratitude to the Social Security Board.

“On behalf of the Ministry of Health of the Nevis Island Administration and the people of Nevis in general, I would like to say thank you to Social Security for this very important piece of equipment,” Dr. Rawlins said.

Pharmacist Nisbett, who had been the pharmacist for a number of years, spoke of the benefits the computer would bring to his department.

“The pharmacy programme that we use keeps records of all of our patients who access our services.

We have a listing of our doctors, we have a drug list, an inventory and we are able in the end to present the patient with medications that are properly labelled, easy to read and have all the relevant information, expiration dates et cetera,” he said.

The computer is valued at approximately $3 500. ~~Adz:Left~~
