Soda shortage over, ‘Brison’ back in production

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts- THE shortage of certain flavours of local soft drinks bottled by St. Kitts Bottling Co. Ltd. was short lived as production has now resumed.

Retailers were the first to raise public awareness when they could not obtain flavours when they made their usual soda orders from the manufacturers.

The popular carbonated drink was in short supply just before the onset of this weekend’s One Day International cricket matches due to “a five week backlog a shipment of sugar had been delayed in the Bahamas”.

This lack of a crucial ingredient resulted in the company’s inability to produce Sparkle and other flavours of the carbonated beverages.

A company official disclosed to SKNVibes.com that “the sugar has now been received and soda production is going full-speed ahead and we have already started bottling Coke.”
