St. Kitts BLITZ 2012

Press Release

BASSETERRE St. Kitts, May 1st, 2012   --  In celebration of Christian Education Day held April 28, 2012 around the Inter American Division of Seventh-day Adventists, the St. Kitts Seventh-day Adventist Primary School hosted its first ever Blitz program.

A total of two hundred and fifty eight (258) students from Kindergarten to Grade Six, worshiped with the members of the Cayon, Basseterre, Mt. Moriah, Sandy Point, Old Road and Molineux Seventh-day Adventist Churches.

The theme for the program, “Meet my Jesus,” enveloped the various segments of the day’s program as the children lead through singing, reading, preaching and dramatic presentations.

According to the Principal of the St. Kitts Seventh-day Adventist School, Mrs. Yvette Blanchette, “the churches were very supportive and responsive to the program; the parents and supporters came out in their numbers; the children ministered excellently. Overall, it was a very successful initiative.”

The Blitz initiative sought to use young boy and girls to share the gospel with members of Adventist congregations around the island, and also, to showcase the talents and skills of students of every grade.

It was also a gesture of gratitude to the Seventh-day Adventist congregations that heavily subsidize the schools on a monthly basis.

Additionally, the initiative was an opportunity to encourage parents to send their children to the Seventh-day Adventist School where they can receive a holistic education that will benefit them for now and eternity.

BLITZ will be an annual event for the St. Kitts Seventh-day Adventist School.
