Press Release

ST.GEORGE, Grenada, May 2nd 2012 - Grenada’s Prime Minister Hon. Tillman Thomas was not presented with any proposal by former Minister for Tourism and Culture, Peter David, seeking the retraction of comments made by Minister for Information, Hon. Glen Noel.

In a statement read at a press conference following his resignation on Monday, Mr. David said, “I was pushed into having to take this decision after the Prime Minister refused to accept the proposal that the Minister of Information retract public comments that sought to bring the party and government into disrepute.”

Prime Minister Thomas confirmed that no such proposal was ever presented or discussed with him.

“When Mr. David addressed Cabinet on Monday morning, he did not present any such proposal to me or to the Cabinet,” the Prime Minister said Wednesday.
