Female Coach to Represent SKNAAA on IAAF CECS Level 1 Lecturer Coaching Course

Ms. Roatter Johnson
Press Release

BASSETERRE St. Kitts, May 3rd 2012 - The St. Kitts & Nevis Amateur Athletic Association is pleased to announce that Roatter Johnson will represent our Member Federation at the Level 1 Coaching Education and Certificate System (CECS) Lecturer Course, at the IAAF Regional Development Center (RDC) in San Juan, Puerto Rico from Monday 30th April – Saturday 5th May 2012. Once successfully completed, Johnson will become the 1st female lecturer and the 3rd overall from the federation.

Coach Johnson is currently a CECS Level III coach who specializes in Jumps. She is a former athlete with an impeccable record, having won CARIFTA medals in the long jump, high jump and triple jump.

Even after a decade, her triple jump record at her Alma Matter (Lindenwood University) is yet to be broken. After university, she kept her passion for athletics alive by attaining certification in coaching. Since then she has represented the SKNAAA as a national coach for several prominent regional and international meets including the Commonwealth Games, Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games, PAN American Games, CARIFTA Games, Leeward Junior Championships and Leeward Youth Championships.

In her teaching profession, she currently performs the dual function of a sixth grade teacher and Deputy Principal at the St. Paul’s Primary School.

Join me along with the SKNAAA in congratulating Roatter Johnson on her selection to attend this course and wish her all the success in attaining lecturing credentials.
