Launch of Independence Silver Jubilee set for Friday

~~Adz:Right~~Basseterre, St. Kitts (SKNIS): Plans have been finalised for the launch of the Silver Jubilee Anniversary of Independence set for Friday, July 11 at 4:30 pm.

The Area just west of The National Museum has been earmarked for the event, which promises to be unprecedented in its significance.

At the launch, the announcement of the theme and stamp competitions would be named. Other activities will include musical interludes, drumming and singing.

Mr. Goma said that the activities chosen for the 25th Anniversary would serve as a blueprint for future celebrations.

He further mentioned that a sixth stamp, in addition to the previous five, has been selected as apart of the 25th Anniversary of Independence. The stamp will feature a stalwart in the Education Field,  namely Ada May Edwards, who would be the first female to be chosen for such an event.

The organizing committee encourages you to come out and support this event as it signals the official start of the milestone celebrations.
