CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – A young woman is currently warded at the Alexandra Hospital in Nevis after being stabbed multiples times to the body, allegedly by the father of her two children.

According to Head of the Criminal Investigations Department, Inspector Charles Smithen, Trishna Jeffers of Cotton Ground, who is an employee of Cozier and Associates Barristers-at-Law and Solicitors located at Ramsbury Site, was at about 2:30 p.m. yesterday (May 9) stabbed multiple times about her body with a sharp instrument.

“The young woman was taken to the Alexandra Hospital, where she underwent surgery and is reported to be in stable condition. She was allegedly stabbed by her children’s father, Jarrett Griffin, also known as Ras Red, and officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force are currently in search of him,” Smithen said.

Smithen also said that the Brick Kiln, Nevis resident has so far eluded the police and he is calling on anyone who has information on the wanted man’s whereabouts to contact the Charlestown Police Station at 469-5391 or the nearest police station.

The police were however unable to provide a picture of Griffin but promised that the media would be given one as soon as it is available, in order for public-spirited citizens and residents to identify him if seen.

According to reports reaching SKNVibes, Jeffers and a co-worker were at the law firm when Griffin entered and stabbed her.
