BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) yesterday (May 11) received a donation from one of its partnering corporate citizens, the St. Kitts Bottling Company (SKBC).

The donation took the form of close to 300 drinking glasses which are to be used at the various police stations across the Federation.

The items were handed over at SKBC’s premises by the entity’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Kevin Edwards, and accepted by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ian Queeley on behalf of the RSCNPF.

Edwards explained to this publication that the SKBC is supportive of the police and their efforts and this donation are part of its ongoing quest to provide assistance to the law enforcement agency.

“We decided to make this donation of some Coco-Cola Classic glasses just to make the atmosphere and life at the different stations a little more hospitable. We understand the sacrifice that they make and this is a little token of our appreciation to them to make their working life and social life a little easier.”

ACP Queeley thanked the corporate entity for its donation, declaring that it is indicative of the relationship which the SKBC and the RSCNPF has fostered over the years.

“On behalf of the Commissioner and the senior and junior ranks of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, we are pleased to accept this donation by the St. Kitts Bottling Company. And we see this as a demonstration of their continued good relationship with the police force and good corporate citizenship.

“They’ve always partnered with the police in the past and this instance willingly came forward and made this kind gesture. The glasses will go a long way in enhancing the physical ambiance of the police stations for use in social activities and so on.”

The ACP explained that the 288 glasses would be distributed amongst the 13 police stations across St. Kitts and Nevis.
