The McKnight I Knew

Press Release

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, May 15th 2012 - A McKnighter, who now resides in St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands, has recently published a book entitled The McKnight I Knew. According to Seymour ‘Tally’ Davis, he got fed up of all the negative reports about his beloved McKnight. What concerned him the most was that it appeared that people were starting to believe that the way the present McKnight is portrayed is the way it was all the time.

“So far from the truth,” Tally said.

He wrote the book to give the general public another view of the McKnight he knew growing up. He indicated that the book is not another boring presentation of historical facts. Facts will be presented, but in a funny, fresh storytelling form.

Readers would find themselves smiling quite a bit, while reading this book.  Mr. Davis also noted that the book is not just for McKnighters. Anyone reading the book would have cause to reminisce about their own upbringing, and conclude that there were a lot of similarities in the way they were raised ‘back in the day’.  It is important to note that there is also a song “The McKnight I Knew” on a CD single. Tally wrote the lyrics, while Kenrick Georges did the music, and vocals.

On Friday May 18th ‘2012 there will be a book signing on Fort Street. Then on Sunday 20th there will be a panel discussion about the book on WINN FM on the show Conversations hosted by Clive Bacchus.

Persons interested in purchasing the book and CD can check local book stores and also V&K’s in the TDC Mall from the 18th May, 2012. The author can be contacted at 340-513-4045; themcknightiknew@gmail.com or at McKnight Thibou on Face Book.
