West Indies Power Holdings B.V. establishes Drilling Division

ROSEAU, Dominica- With the recent purchase of a specially designed Long Year HS50 Geothermal Drilling Machine, West Indies Power Holdings B.V.  has established a Drilling Division, headquartered on the island of Nevis, to drill and develop geothermal resources located in the Caribbean.  

The Long Year HS50 Geothermal Drilling Machine can drill a 12-inch diameter hole up to a depth of 12,000 ft.

Kerry McDonald, CEO of WIPH, stated: “ This is the first of several Geothermal Drilling Machines that WIPH will acquire. 

The establishment of our own Drilling Division will enable WIPH to explore and develop the geothermal resources in the Caribbean in a more timely fashion and avoid the delays of having to wait for availability of third party contractors to provide drilling machines and crews to develop the geothermal resources.”
