BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TAMARAH WILLIAMS doesn’t seem like a woman of many words – at least not while a recorder is stuck in her face - but there is no denying that she is proud of herself for earning the Kajola Kristada April 2012 Employee of the Month title.

She was performing her daily duties on Wednesday (May 23) on the Populating Line when she was told to report to the office.

Unaware of the reason for her presence at the office, Williams received the good news when she got there.

“They told me that I had won the employee of the month. I hugged everyone and I thanked them. I was happy to get the news.”

The Upper Cayon resident said she has a habit of being punctual, has an impeccable attendance record and always meets her daily targets.

Winning – she says – gives her a “great feeling” and that she was happy to receive congratulations from one of the most important persons in her life, her daughter.

“When I told my seven-year-old daughter that I had won Employee of the Month, she said, ‘That is good mommy.’”

Williams said Kajola’s Employee of the Month programme is a “good one” because it encourages employees to do their best and it rewards them for the hard work and dedication.

Williams’ immediate supervisor Enid Wattley-Smith congratulated the 26-year-old awardee on her accomplishments and, another of her supervisors, Beulah Belle, told this publication that she (Williams) is a consistently good worker.

“Tamarah is a hard worker, a very hard worker. She is loyal, she’s dedicated so I am not surprised that she won. This is not the first time that her name has been entered for Employee of the Month. Once you meet the criteria for any given month, your name would go in.

“Her name was going in for a while but some outshone her. Congratulations once again…continue doing your best!”

Williams said she does not plan to lapse in her work especially since her eyes are fastened on the Employee of the Year goal.

    Congratulations Tamarah!
