~~Adz:Right~~ROAD TOWN, Tortola - RESIDENTS of the British Virgin Islands were saddened yesterday with the news that their ‘Nature’s Little Secret’ isle has recorded the third and fourth murders of the territory for 2008.

Dead are two young men who were at the time outside Big Ben’s Superette in West End at around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, July, 16.

Police have confirmed that the two men died as a result of a shooting incident, but up to press time they were unable to confirm how and why the men were shot.

According to BVI news Online, residents reported hearing gunshots and a vehicle speeding off shortly after.
The BVI news site also said one of the men died on the spot and the other was pronounced dead at Peebles Hospital.

Police have not released the names of the persons, as they have not yet notified their families of the tragedy, but revealed that investigations are ongoing.

It was only last week the news spread like wildfire that the second murder of the year had occurred when Lovell Parker was gunned down, while family members still mourn the loss of Donna Baronville who was gunned down on her verandah at her home.

Baronville’s murder was the first for the year and, like Parker’s, it remains unsolved to date.
