Ministry Of Culture Launches National Cultural Project

    KINGSTOWN St.Vincent, May 24th, 2012    --   St. Vincent and the Grenadines is continuing the process of moving towards a National Cultural Policy.

     

    To this end the Ministry of Culture launched a national project which is being funded by UNESCO to the tune of 43 thousand US dollars.

     

    This launch took place during a ceremony at the NIS training room.

    During his address, Junior Minister in the Ministry of Tourism, Youth, Sports and Culture Senator Elvis Charles said the project is aimed at developing cultural diversity in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

    Senator Charles said the project will focus primarily on the development of the national policy that was established over ten years ago.
     
    He also said a broad national policy is necessary to guide the way forward for cultural diversification.
