BASSETERRE St. Kitts May 29th 2012 - The Staff of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) joins together with the NEMA Districts Volunteers, to express sincere condolences to the Family and Friends of the late Mr. Kevin (Masud Sadiki) Donovan.

The Late Kevin Donovan was the NEMA District Manager for District #4, which covers the area from Challengers to New Guinea, between 2007 and 2009.  During his tenure as District Manager, his dedication, foresight and positive leadership assisted the community in returning to normalcy after the passage of Hurricane Omar.  He was also instrumental in organising fund-raising activities for District #4, in support of the community’s ongoing disaster management efforts.

Referring to Donovan’s service to his community, and indeed the Nation, District Coordinator, Mrs. Telca  Wallace, said “the Community of Old Road has lost a human resource of great value.

Those of us, who have worked with this dynamic and energetic stalwart, have learned that volunteerism is still alive in our communities”.

Mrs. Wallace concluded that even through their grief, “...we are thankful for the time Kevin has spent with us and for his generous spirit. It is our hope that his selflessness will be taken as a positive example of what it means to be a dutiful National of St. Kitts and Nevis.”
