ST.JOHN'S Antigua, May 30th, 2012 -- The Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Culture in collaboration with the Antigua Hotels & Tourist Association will launch Tourism Week 2012, under the theme Service Excellence Antigua & Barbuda: Live It, Give It, Celebrate It.
The week of activities will begin on Sunday June 17 and culminate on Sunday June 24. Activities planned in commemoration of the week are the annual National Tourism Awards ceremony, the “Be a Tourist for a Day” initiative, as well as other events aimed at increasing the potential for nationals to experience first-hand and market the Antiguan Tourism experience.
The celebrations will also include the official launch of Antigua & Barbuda’s Service Excellence Initiative, designed to ensure our tourism product becomes more competitive globally. A full schedule of events will be unveiled in the coming weeks, and the Ministry of Tourism looks forward to the participation of all tourism related institutions as well the public in general.
