BASSETERRE St. Kitts, May 31st, 2012 -- St. Kitts is hosting the 25th O.E.C.S. Bridge Championships, at the Ocean Terrace Inn from 8th to 10th June 2012.

Sixty four bridge players from Anguilla, Antigua,Barbados, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Nevis, St.Kitts, St.Lucia and Trinidad are participating.

Since the first tournament in Dominca in 1987, the cost of participating has tripled, so the tunnot of 64 bridge players is a good one.

Local businesses continue to support us but one sponsor, LIAT has stayed with us all theses 25 years.

Whatever we say about LIAT, we all need LIAT and this writer has been a local customer for 57 years.

St. Kitts (Eustace Liburd, Bechara Kassab, Bryan Monuhouse and Ian Slack) are the defending champions, having won in Dominica on 26th June 2011.

Our director is Mrs JackieThompson out of Barbados.

Although we only host once every six (6) years, St.Kitts bridge is playing its part to keep the St. Kitts economy.
