 “Payroll Tax Review”

ROADTOWN, Tortola- As promised in the Virgin Islands Party Manifesto 2007, an Adhoc Committee has been established to review the Payroll Tax which was introduced to replace Income Tax as from 2005.

The membership of the Review Team is as follows:   ~~Adz:Right~~

2. Mrs. Rosemarie Flax – Member
3. Mr. Jerry Samuel – Member
4. Ms. Diana Wheatley – Member
5. Mr. Clarence Faulkner, Jr. – Member
6. Mr. John Greenwood – Member
7. Mr. Joseph Roberts – Member
8. Mr. Keith Matthew – Member
9. Mr. Neville Pole – Member
10. Mr. Edison O’Neal – Member

The terms of reference are:
(i) that a Payroll Tax Committee (the Committee) be appointed to review the Payroll Tax Act;-
(ii) that the Committee identify inconsistencies within the Payroll Tax act; and
(iii) that the Committee make recommendations for amendments, or if deemed to be so fit repeal the Payroll Tax Act.
