    ROADTOWN Tortola, BVI, July 3rd, 2012  –  His Excellency the Governor Mr. Boyd McCleary, CMG, CVO acting after consultation with the Civil Service Association has appointed Keturah Crabbe as a member of the Public Service Commission (PSC) for a period of one year effective June 20, 2012 until June 19, 2013.
     
    The Governor was acting in accordance with Section 91(1)(d) of the Virgin Islands Constitution Order, 2007. Section 91(1)(d) of the Constitution states that, “One member of the Public Service Commission shall be appointed by the Governor, acting after consultation with the Civil Service Association."
     
    Mrs. Crabbe succeeds Mr. Ishmael Scatliffe. The Governor thanked Mr. Scatliffe for his many years of service with the Commission, most recently from April 2005 to June 2012, and for his contribution to the development of the public service.
     
    The Public Service Commission advises the Governor on appointments to the public service and on promotions and disciplinary matters in the service. The other members of the Commission are Ms. Magdaline Rhymer, Ms. Dawn Smith, Reverend Julian Clarke and Mrs. Patsy Lake.
