The Youth Outreach Dance Ministry 5th Graduation ceremony

    BASSETERRE St. Kitts, July 4th, 2012  -- "Reaching Your Potential" was the theme for the Youth Outreach Dance Ministry 5th Graduation ceremony, which held last Friday 29th June at the Basseterre Church of God, Durant Avenue, 7pm.

     

    Ten (10) beautiful and talented young ladies shine throughout the night, as they expressed themselves through song, dance and share their experiences in this Ministry.  It was an exciting moment for the dancers, as friends and families came out to support this great achievements.

     

     
    The Ministry came in existence since May 2001 with a needs, and that is to form a Christian dance school for young dancers between aged 5 - 12 years.  We have been serving the community for 11 years, where we tried to provide a Chirstian atmosphere for our dancers and ways to develop their minds spiritually through the art of dance.
     
    The graduation, which is held every 2 years in recognition of our students' outstanding performance in the Ministry has brought out the best in our dancers this year.  After looking back over the years, this has been the largest number of dancers who have graduated from the Ministry, and so, we honored God for such an opportunity 
     
    The evening was filled with a well-packed program with excellent performances by students.  Some of the performances were a ballet interlude, Praise dance, and a creative piece entitled, "Dare to My Heart" by the graduating students and teacher.  Feature addressed was delivered by Mr Michael Blake - our educator, and the hostess for the night was Ms. Sheyjona Bass-one of the tutors for the Ministry.
     
    The Ministry take this time to congratulate all our graduants, especially dancers who did extremely well in dance theory examination.  As we recognized our top 3 students, Kerene Glasgow received 1st place for Best results in dance theory and overall top student for Graduating Class 2010-2012.
     
    The prizes that rewarded to her were a computer course sponsored by KVK Enterprises, trophy and school supplies compliment the Ministry, 2nd place is Takoya Slack, where she rewarded a prize sponsored by Mr. Michael Blake, trophy and school supplies and 3rd place is Quiandra Pemberton, who were rewarded dance supplies, a trophy, and school supplies.
     
    The 3 trophies were sponsored by Mr. Clifford Thomas for the top students who perform well in theory exam. Other prizes were rewarded to Chenise Rawlins for Best attendance & Punctuality, Quiandra Pemberton for her dedication and hard-work in the Ministry and Midecia Blake for being on time to dance class, rehearsal etc. Certificates and gifts were presented to all graduants compliment the Ministry.
     
    The Ministry would like to thank all our sponsors Min. Khrystus Wallace - President of KVK Enterprises, Mr Clifford Thomas and Mr. Michael Blake - our educator.  
     
    Also, special thanks to Almighty God, Ms. Dian Pringle, Mrs. Olivia Taylor-Dias, Mrs. Camella Jeffers, Ms. Angella Lewis, Mrs. Kamara Phillip, Mr. Aldrin Pemberton, parents and all who have made this graduation a success.
     
    The Ministry looks forward to host its 6th Graduation ceremony in 2014
