Miss Stacey Greene to represent St. Kitts and Nevis in this year's Miss Caribbean US Beauty Pageant

    BASSETERRE St. Kitts, July 6th, 2012  --  The twin island federation of St. Kitts and Nevis will be represented in this year’s Miss Caribbean US Beauty pageant by Miss Stacey Greene – local dance performer, tutor and public speaker. The pageant will see an astounding 14 other contestants of Caribbean heritage participating. 

     

    Miss Greene says she is honored that the pageant organizers selected her to represent her home land of St. Kitts and Nevis where she was born and raised in the spirited villages of Upper Cayon, Newtown and Trafalgar
    Villages. She currently resides in Philadelphia, PA.
     
    She will partake in six judged segments namely, Ambassadorial wear and presentation, Swimwear, Talent, Evening Wear, Interview and Top 5 Interview. Greene who holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Project Management and a Bachelors degree with honors in Computer Information Systems (Database Management major) says, “I am honored to represent my federation and I’m elated for having this opportunity.”
     
    The 11-year-old organization was founded by its current CEO and President, Yolanda Wallace, a Trinidad native. The Miss Caribbean U.S. Beauty pageant is a yearly event that seeks to highlight the talent, beauty and diversity of the Caribbean Diaspora within the United States.
     
    The pageant allows goal-oriented, 21st century Caribbean women in the United States to advance the causes of the West Indians in the USA, by acting as ambassadors of excellence in their various pursuits. The show will be held on July 7th at 5:00 PM in Philadelphia, PA, at the Martin Luther King High School Auditorium.  To be chosen one must have been born in the Caribbean or be of Caribbean heritage and must be living in the US territories. 
     
    Kittitians and Nevisians are encouraged to show their support.
     
    Miss Greene expressed thanks to those who have pledged and are supporting her for the upcoming show. She made special mention of her Parents, Nicole Gumbs, PinkSplashMedia, Heidi Slack, Verna Grante, Leburnah Liburd, Giselle Solomon, Jenson Morton, Friends of the Panorama Toastmasters Public Speaking Club, Mother Bethel AME Church, Alexis Long, Rhyddm Magazine, St. Kitts-Nevis Ministry of Culture and Karl Williams of Uzuri International, Iantavian Dias-Queeley, Trent Sargeant of BurnIt, Kinney 'Kupid' James.
     
    Miss Greene has dedicated her performance in this pageant to every girl who has a dream but who may be second guessing whether to seek it out or not. To that she reminds us that it is never too late to live your dream!
