BASSETERE St. Kitts, July 18th, 2012 -- As part of its 50th Anniversary celebrations, The George Moody Stuart School (aka “Factory School”) is poised to enter the next phase of its existence with the launch of its very own Facebook page. Computer-savvy users can view photo albums of recent events, leave comments and even submit their own photos for viewing on the page.
The school’s Facebook page presently features photos from the recent graduation ceremony for outgoing Grade 6 students.
Developer of the page Ms. Kirah Griffin viewed the page as a labour of love, as a proud parent of the George Moody Stuart School. Said Ms. Griffin: “The school has done a wonderful job in educating my daughter, and I am happy for the opportunity to give back to the school by assisting with the Facebook page.
It is important for the public to see the great work that they are doing. It’s a small school that gets big results.”
Principal of the school Mrs. Elizabeth Condell was quite impressed with the page, proclaiming it a wonderful new feature that will allow the school to expand its reach to the general public.
It is hoped that the additional exposure on Facebook will attract more persons to the institution that is known for producing well-rounded scholars who return excellent examination results, providing quality primary school education for the nation’s children.
