Press Release (BVI)

ROADTOWN Tortola BVI, July 18th, 2012   –   In delivering on its mandate to ‘bring the world to you’, the BVI Post Office has a new location and is offering a new service in all efforts to provide convenience and enhance the customers’ experience.

Speaking to the Department of Information and Public Relations, acting Postmaster Ms. Pascha Stoutt said the BVI Post Office now operates its new internet shopping service EZ Shopper, in addition to eZone, out of its new location in the Maduro Building near the roundabout. She said both the relocation of the office and new service corresponds to the department’s mandate of being customer-focussed.

“We strive to keep on the competitive edge, while keeping our customers happy, and we found that a more central location in Road Town would increase convenience, and in fact, better facilitate our new online shopping service,” Ms. Stoutt said.

According to Retail and Marketing Manager Ms. Debra James, the online service EZ Shopper is an offshoot of eZone, which is the BVI Post’s premier online shipping service.

Ms. James explained that the intention of the service is to accommodate those customers who may not have a credit card, for those online stores that do not accept international credit cards and also to avoid vendor issues with shipping to commercial addresses.

“This new service shows BVI Post’s commitment to stay one step ahead of its competitors in better addressing our customers’ needs. It truly is an excellent service which I encourage our present and potential customers to use,” Ms. James said.

To begin using the service, persons with an eZone account will need to log in and click on the “Create a Shopping List” link. After which, add the URL address or link of the item you wish to buy in the space provided. Indicate the colour, quantity and size. Add any other information you deem necessary and click submit to complete your entry.

After BVI Post receives the entry, a representative will forward an invoice with the amount owed. Customers are asked to take the invoice to the nearest eZone agency to remit payment and items will then be ordered. An eZone agent will contact customers once the package(s) is/are received.

To sign up for eZone and for more information, telephone 468-4189, or visit the website www.getezone.com, or email getezone@gov.vg, getezonebvi@gmail.com or bvi@getzone.com.

Persons will also get the opportunity to learn more about EZ Shopper and eZone at BVI Post’s Customer Appreciation Day on Friday, August 3.

The BVI Post, included in the Ministry of Finance’s portfolio, is responsible for postal communication and provides mail service to more than 189 countries around the world.
