BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE St. Kitts Meteorological Office advises that the tropical wave that began affecting the Federation yesterday (July 29) is currently crossing the north-eastern Caribbean.
The system brought with it heavy intermittent showers which deposited some 31.2mm of water into the earth between 8:00 p.m. yesterday and 8:00 p.m. today.
SKNVibes understands that the system is progressing towards the British Virgin Islands and the Federation can expect cloudy to partly-cloudy conditions with scattered showers to persist during this evening, with a gradual improvement tomorrow.
A met office representative explained that conditions are expected to improve, as most of the moisture of the system is located at the north east which is pushing its way toward the BVI and Puerto Rico.
